Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Ingredients.

Step 2

Step 2
Whisk sugar with one egg and one white.

Step 3

Step 3
Add flour, mix well.

Step 4

Step 4
Add cream or milk.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour a little dough onto well-greased sheets and spread with a spoon into small thin circles. I got circles with a diameter of about 7-8 cm.

Step 6

Step 6
Sprinkle each circle with chopped nuts. Place in a hot (200 degrees) oven for 3-4 minutes. When the edges of the circles begin to brown, they are ready.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the flatbreads with a knife and, while hot(!), roll them into tubes or pound cakes, with the sprinkled side facing out. I rolled the cakes without completely removing the sheet from the oven, as they quickly harden and can break. If your cakes still harden, place the sheet in a warm oven and they will become soft.

Step 8

Step 8
While the tubes are cooling, letʼs make the cream. Separate 2 egg whites. Yolks, including the yolk left over from the tubes, can be used for other purposes. Beat the whites with a mixer until the volume increases; to make the whites stable, add a little citric acid. Without stopping whipping, add sugar in small portions. Beat until stable peaks form. At the end we add vanillin.

Step 9

Step 9
Fill the cooled tubes with cream.

Step 10

Step 10
The cream-filled tubes remain crispy for some time. Therefore, if you like to crunch, then start drinking tea immediately. Enjoy your tea!
