Ingredients (12 portions)

Basic:

Sugar 400 g
Wheat flour 320 g
Milk 250 ml
Cocoa 3 tbsp
Eggs 4 pc
Vegetable oil 250 ml
Baking powder 15 g
Vanilla sugar 15 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake German kuchen chocolate cake? Prepare the necessary ingredients. To begin, beat chicken eggs into a bowl of suitable size, add sugar and vanilla sugar and beat with a mixer until white. This will take about five minutes at high mixer speed.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour milk into beaten eggs and add vegetable oil.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour cocoa into the egg mixture and mix everything gently. Do this with a spoon, spatula or whisk — because the mixer will simply spray the cocoa. When the cocoa gets wet, then you can go through the mixture with a mixer to remove all the lumps.

Step 4

Step 4
This is the final mass you should get.

Step 5

Step 5
Drain one 250 ml glass of chocolate mixture and set it aside.

Step 6

Step 6
Add the sifted flour and baking powder to the rest of the mixture and mix everything so that there are no lumps. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished cake will turn out fluffier and airier.

Step 7

Step 7
Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a baking dish with baking paper. And pour the dough into the mold. Mine measures 20 by 30 centimeters. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. Determine the exact time yourself, based on the type of oven you have!

Step 8

Step 8
To check if the kuchen is ready, I pierce it with a toothpick. If it comes out dry, then the cake is well baked. If pieces of dough stick to the toothpick, you should keep the pie in the oven a little longer.

Step 9

Step 9
Now pour the contents of the glass into which we poured the chocolate mixture in the fifth step on top of the hot baked cake.

Step 10

Step 10
Spread the filling over the entire surface of the cake and let the chocolate kuchen cool completely. Then you can cut it into portions and serve. Bon appetit!
