Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Wheat flour 400 g
Water 230 ml
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Dry yeast 6 g

How to make French bread in a bread machine? Prepare everything you need for this. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, the finished bread will be fluffier and airier. Water should be at room temperature. When making bread in a bread machine, add all the liquid ingredients first, then the dry ingredients. Pour the required amount of water into the bread machine bowl and add salt.

Then add the sifted flour. Please note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Focus on the consistency of the dough.

Add sugar and yeast on top of the flour. Place the bowl in the bread maker and turn on the main baking mode. For me it lasts 3 hours. Bread weight 700 or 750 g. (it will be different in different models of bread machine, focus on your equipment), the color of the crust is medium. You can add aromatic herbs if you wish.

When the dough is formed into a bun, pour vegetable oil on it. Thanks to this, the bun begins to form more actively and stops sticking to the walls.

During kneading, the dough becomes more homogeneous and more flexible.

After the required amount of time, the bread maker emits a beep indicating that the bread is ready. The aroma of fresh bread, which is already wafting through the house, also indicates its readiness. Remove the bread from the bowl.
