Basic:

Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Eggs (This recipe uses only yolks.) 2 pc
Hard cheese 100 g
Puff pastry 1 kg
Chicken legs 12 pc

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare all ingredients. Wash and dry the chicken legs. Season with salt and black pepper and leave for 20 minutes. If you wish, you can use your favorite spices — chicken seasoning, paprika, etc. – everything you love. Cut the cheese into small rectangles, remove the skin from the fillet and insert a plate of cheese into the pocket. Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 0.5 cm.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the dough into strips 1 cm wide and wrap the chicken drumsticks with dough, starting from the wide side.

Step 3

Step 3
Line a baking tray with baking paper and grease it with vegetable oil. Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet. Break the eggs and carefully separate the yolks from the whites. We only need the yolks; the whites can be used to make an omelette or use them to prepare another dish. To obtain a beautiful golden crust, apply a layer of mixed egg yolks on top of the dough with a brush.

Step 4

Step 4
Place chicken drumsticks in puff pastry in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 1 hour. Transfer the finished legs to a dish, decorate as desired and serve. Chicken legs in puff pastry are ready! Bon appetit!
