Basic:

Sugar 30 g
Wheat flour 180 g
Eggs 1 pc
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Soda 0.5 tsp
Poppy food 100 g
Kefir 500 ml

Prepare the ingredients. To prepare poppy seed pancakes we will need: poppy seeds; flour; kefir; egg; sugar; soda and vegetable oil for baking.

Pour hot water over poppy seeds and leave for 15 minutes. Then drain the water.

Sift the flour. In a deep bowl, combine kefir, egg and soda. Mix the mixture thoroughly with a whisk until smooth.

Add flour, sugar and poppy seeds to the kefir mixture. Mix everything again, breaking up any lumps.

You should get a homogeneous dough, similar in consistency to thick sour cream.
