Quick and Easy Baked Apple Lavash Strudel

Very fast, very simple, very easy and very tasty! You can prepare lavash strudel with apples in the oven in 30 minutes! This is an ideal sweet pastry for beginners — even a child can handle it. Apples (average) 5 pc
Lemon juice 3 tbsp
Butter 50 g
Eggs 1 pc
Walnuts 60 g
Lavash thin (2 Armenian lavash) 200 g
Ground cinnamon 1 tsp

How to make strudel from pita bread with apples in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can take any apples. If they are too sour, add more sugar. If they are too hard, this is not critical, since we simmer them in a frying pan anyway. Instead of walnuts, you can use hazelnuts, peanuts or others.

Wash and dry the apples. Peel them from seeds and skin, cut into not very thin slices. Pour lemon juice over the apples to prevent them from browning and stir.

Grind the walnuts into crumbs. You can do this using a blender, or you can pass them through a meat grinder.

Melt butter in a frying pan, add sugar, stir.

Over low heat with constant stirring, bring the sugar mixture to a golden color.

Place the prepared apples in the pan.

Simmer the apples over medium heat until soft. Focus on your stove. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, add cinnamon and stir. Let the filling cool. If you canʼt time the stew correctly, just add the cinnamon when the apples just start to soften.

Wash the raw chicken egg and dry it with a napkin. Place it in a bowl and beat until smooth with a fork or whisk.

Place the pita bread on a work surface. Brush the surface of the pita bread with beaten egg.

Sprinkle the lavash greased with egg with chopped walnuts (half a walnut is used for 1 sheet of lavash).

Place half of the apple filling on top of the nut layer, distributing it evenly and not reaching the edges of the pita bread by about 1.5-2 cm.

Fold inward, directly over the filling, first the short edges of the pita bread, and then both long edges.

Start rolling from the short edge. Do the same with the second sheet of pita bread.

Place the strudels on oiled parchment and brush the top with the remaining beaten egg.

Bake the strudels in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15 minutes. Determine the baking time and temperature based on your oven.
