Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make apple jelly with gelatin at home? Prepare your food. Take ripe apples, without blemishes. Any gelatin will do, I use instant gelatin. You can adjust the amount of sugar depending on your taste and the sweetness of the apples. Take clean, filtered water.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the apples well and dry. Cut each apple into four parts and remove the core and seeds. You can peel them, I didnʼt.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the chopped apples in a saucepan and fill them with cold, clean water. Add sugar.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the saucepan over medium heat. After boiling, reduce the heat and cover the saucepan with a lid. Cook the apples until completely softened. Cooking time will depend on the type of apple. For me they cooked for quite a long time, since the apples were hard. When the apples have softened, remove the saucepan from the stove and leave to cool.

Step 5

Step 5
While the apples are cooling, pour clean cold water over the gelatin. Leave it to swell. The swelling time will depend on the type of gelatin you use. I have instant, it takes a few minutes. There is gelatin, which swells all 20. Read the instructions on the package.

Step 6

Step 6
Press the still warm apples through a sieve into a bowl. If they are well boiled, this will not be difficult at all. The pulp will be rubbed, and the skin will remain on the sieve.

Step 7

Step 7
Dilute the resulting applesauce with the liquid in which the apples were cooked. Dilute to form juice with pulp.

Step 8

Step 8
Heat the swollen gelatin until liquid. I heated it in the microwave, in short bursts of a couple of seconds. You can dissolve it on the stove. Do not bring gelatin to a boil; it may lose its gelling properties.

Step 9

Step 9
Pour the dissolved gelatin into the applesauce and mix well. Pour the apple mixture into the molds. I got two forms with a volume of 200 ml each. You can dilute the puree with more broth, then you will get more servings. Place the jelly in the refrigerator until completely stabilized; I left it overnight.

Step 10

Step 10
Before serving, soak the mold in hot water for a few seconds, then the jelly will be easy to remove. Serve it to the table. Bon appetit!
