Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake apples with cottage cheese? Prepare your food. If possible, choose large and strong apples — these will hold more filling and will not fall apart during baking. Take cheese like Philadelphia, Almette, Cremette, Violetta, not processed! Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. Instead of vanilla sugar, you can use a pinch of vanillin.

Step 2

Step 2
Immediately turn on the oven to preheat at 180°C, as preparing the apples will not take much time. Wash the apples well and dry. Cut off the very top of them. If the apples fall on their sides, you can also trim them a little from the bottom to stabilize them.

Step 3

Step 3
Using a small knife or spoon, cut out the center of the apples along with the seeds. Make the holes deep enough to accommodate enough filling.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix cream cheese, half the egg and sugar, plain and vanilla in a bowl. A whisk or spoon will suffice. As with making cheesecake, there is no need to beat the mixture to ensure it remains dense and smooth.

Step 5

Step 5
Stuff the apples with the cheese mixture.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the stuffed apples in a suitable pan. Bake apples in a preheated oven for 20-30 minutes. The exact time will depend on your oven and the size of the apples. Focus on their appearance — the filling should “set” (stabilize). You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Cool the finished apples completely — the cheese filling tastes better cold. When serving, you can sprinkle them with ground cinnamon and nuts. Bon appetit!
