Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Pumpkin baked with apple and honey is a very delicate tasting and aromatic dessert. For cooking, the main thing is to choose the right ingredients. It is advisable to use orange pumpkin; it is usually sweeter than green varieties. It should be young, small in size, fresh and juicy. On the contrary, it is better to take apples that are a little hard so that they do not quickly fall apart during baking. Wash the pumpkin, clean it, remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into small cubes.

Step 2

Step 2
It is better to use a glass or ceramic baking dish, but not metal, so that the dessert does not acquire an unpleasant aftertaste from the metal. Grease the mold with butter. Place the prepared pumpkin pieces into the mold. Wash the apples thoroughly, preferably with soap. We remove the peel and remove the seed pod, also cut the pulp into cubes, but slightly larger than the pumpkin, since apples bake faster than pumpkin.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the apple cubes in the mold with the pumpkin. Sprinkle lemon juice on top, it will improve the taste of the dish, give it a pleasant aroma, and also prevent the apples from darkening.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour half a measured amount of honey over the top; you can also use candied honey; it will melt during baking and soak the fruits and vegetables. Since it is believed that honey loses all its beneficial substances during heat treatment, some of the fresh honey can be left and poured over the finished dish before serving.

Step 5

Step 5
Sprinkle the pumpkin and apple with ground cinnamon. Pour a little water into the pan so that the fruits and vegetables do not burn and simmer faster in the oven. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cover the top with foil and place in the oven for 20 minutes. After the specified time, remove the foil, mix the pumpkin and apple and bake for another 10 minutes. A light blush should appear on top.

Step 6

Step 6
Remove the dish from the oven, pour honey over it and serve. Bon appetit!
