Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make jelly from jam with gelatin? Prepare your food. Any jam will do, but it is preferable that it be liquid — it will be easier to mix with water. I have cherry. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste and the sweetness of the jam.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour the gelatin into a bowl and add 150 ml of clean cold water. Stir and leave to swell. What gelatin is suitable? Any, I used instant, you can use regular. Only the swelling time will depend on its type. The instant one swells almost immediately, but leave the other one for the time indicated on the package (usually it varies from 20 minutes to 1 hour).

Step 3

Step 3
Take a saucepan of a suitable size and pour the jam into it. Add sugar. I repeat once again that you can reduce or increase its quantity depending on your preferences.

Step 4

Step 4
Boil the remaining 500 ml of water. Pour hot water over the jam in a saucepan. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the swollen gelatin in the water with jam.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the saucepan on low heat and, stirring constantly, wait until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Once this happens, remove the saucepan from the heat.

Step 7

Step 7
Cool the resulting broth until warm and pour into suitable portion molds. I poured it through a sieve to remove the berries that were in the jam (if the berries are whole and beautiful, then you can leave them). At this same stage, you can, on the contrary, add fresh or frozen berries to the broth (defrost them first, drain the juice).

Step 8

Step 8
Place the jelly in the refrigerator until completely cooled and stabilized. This will take about 2-3 hours. I kept the jelly on all night. Serve directly in the bowl or place it on a plate. To make this easier, soak the jelly mold in hot water for a few seconds. Bon appetit!
