Ingredients (10 portions)

Basic:

Salt 0.25 tsp
Sugar 160 g
Butter 100 g
Baking powder 5 g
Semolina 400 g
Kefir 500 ml

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make manna without eggs? Prepare all ingredients. Place the semolina into a bowl and fill it with kefir. Mix everything with a spoon. Make sure that no lumps form.

Step 2

Step 2
Leave the semolina mass for 10 minutes. During this time, the semolina will swell and we will get a more or less homogeneous mixture.

Step 3

Step 3
Add sugar, salt, baking powder to the resulting mixture. Mix everything. If you don’t like adding ready-made baking powder to the dough, you can replace it with soda quenched in vinegar or citric acid.

Step 4

Step 4
Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove and pour it into the dough. Stir. Try to stir the dough with gentle, even movements so that the hot oil does not splatter around.

Step 5

Step 5
Add any toppings you like to your dough. I chose light raisins and diced dried apricots. To prevent dried fruits from sticking to each other, roll them in flour. But first wash it well, soak it in boiling water and then dry it. Transfer the dough to a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Step 6
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the manna for about 30-40 minutes. The time depends only on your oven, calculate it yourself and check the baked goods periodically.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the finished manna, cool and cut into portions. Serve the pie this way with tea or coffee. You can add any sweet sauce, syrup, condensed milk to it.
