How to make ricotta pie in the oven? To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Take the highest grade flour. You can replace cane sugar with regular sugar.

In a blender bowl, combine flour, diced cold butter, cane sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat until fine crumbs are obtained. If you donʼt have a blender, you can grind the flour mixture into crumbs by hand.

Pour the crumbs into a bowl. Add cold sour cream and quickly knead into a homogeneous shortbread dough.

As soon as the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl and stops sticking to your hands, it is ready. Gather the finished dough into a ball, put it in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.

Now prepare everything for the filling. You can use fresh, frozen or canned cherries. There is no need to defrost frozen cherries.
