Jam-Filled Milk Yeast Pie

Quick, simple, very tasty — help yourself! In terms of speed of preparation, a milk pie made from yeast dough with jam is not inferior to a regular pie made from yeast-free dough. At the same time, the dough of such a pie turns out to be very tender, soft and aromatic. And you can use absolutely any filling.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a milk pie from yeast dough with jam? Prepare your ingredients. All products must be removed from the refrigerator in advance; they need to be at room temperature, warm. You can use fresh milk, but the dough will turn out much fluffier and fluffier if the milk is pre-fermented. To do this, you need to pour milk into a glass, put a piece of black bread in it and leave it on the kitchen table overnight. By morning the milk will turn into curdled milk.

Step 2

Step 2
Make a quick dough. To do this, dissolve sugar and yeast in a glass of warm milk, add a tablespoon of flour and stir thoroughly. Leave the dough for 15 minutes in a warm place.

Step 3

Step 3
In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Part of the egg can be left to grease the pie.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour the prepared dough, odorless vegetable oil, beaten egg into a large bowl, mix the mixture.

Step 5

Step 5
Add sifted flour and salt. The flour must be sifted and saturated with oxygen; thanks to this simple trick, the dough will rise well and be more airy. You may need a little more or a little less flour. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Knead the dough until it is non-sticky and elastic. Leave it for half an hour in a warm place in a bowl under a towel.

Step 7

Step 7
Prepare your work surface by lightly dusting it with flour.

Step 8

Step 8
Roll out the dough into a thin rectangular layer about 0.5 cm thick.

Step 9

Step 9
Lubricate it with jam, any jam that is not very liquid.

Step 10

Step 10
Cut the layer into four longitudinal strips.

Step 11

Step 11
Stack the strips of dough with jam on top of each other so that the top jam is facing down.

Step 12

Step 12
Cut the resulting “pyramid” of jam into transverse pieces about 5 centimeters wide.

Step 13

Step 13
Place these pieces sideways in a greased pan. Let the workpiece rise a little, and for now turn on the oven to 180 degrees. Brush the pie with egg yolk and place in the oven to bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 14

Step 14
Remove the finished pie. Let it cool slightly in the pan, then remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Step 15

Step 15
Serve with tea, coffee, cocoa or milk. It is tasty both warm and cold, and does not go stale for a long time. Enjoy your tea!
