Apple Cinnamon Phyllo Rolls

Fragrant filling and crispy crust, what could be tastier? Having prepared homemade phyllo dough, I decided to try it out. And to be honest, it tasted great (but the appearance was a little disappointing). The pies turned out very tasty, with tender apples and cinnamon inside and a crispy crust on the outside. At first I prepared only 8 pieces for testing. (I was worried that it wouldn’t work out), but after trying the result, I immediately prepared a double or even triple portion :) But to make the task easier for myself, I didn’t cook pies, but rolls, something like strudel. Therefore, if you don’t have time, prepare rolls.

Eggs 1 pc
Filo dough (4 sheets prepared phyllo dough) 200 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Ingredients. The amount of ingredients is actually quite approximate, it all depends on your taste: cinnamon, sugar, number of apples.

Step 2

Step 2
To begin, peel the apples and cut them into small cubes, add cinnamon to taste and mix (you can also sprinkle the apples with lemon juice if desired, this will add a little sourness and prevent the apples from darkening).

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the phyllo dough into strips (each strip was about 20 cm long and about 8 cm wide). Brush each strip with melted butter. Place a spoonful of apple filling on the edge of the dough and sprinkle sugar on top.

Step 4

Step 4
We fold the edges of the dough inward, and fold the strip itself (we should have 2-3 layers of dough around the filling) and thus form the pies.

Step 5

Step 5
Place them on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar on top.

Step 6

Step 6
Bake at 190 C until golden brown.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve with tea or coffee. Bon appetit!

Step 8

Step 8
The inside of the pie looks like this. Help yourself!
