Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a simple jam pie in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. It is better to take thick jam, but if yours is thin, add a couple of teaspoons of starch. If you use only yolks instead of eggs, the dough will be softer. In this case, reduce the flour by 50-60 grams. Margarine can be replaced with butter.

Step 2

Step 2
First, beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer.

Step 3

Step 3
Add margarine, cut into pieces, to the egg-sugar mixture and mix.

Step 4

Step 4
Add baking soda and stir. Read about all the nuances of working with soda in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
Add sifted flour. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the dough will turn out more tender. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Knead the dough. You should get a dense lumpy mass. I chop the dough with a knife.

Step 7

Step 7
Form the dough into a log, wrap it in a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. You can knead the dough differently: sift the flour onto the table, make a well in the middle and pour in the eggs and sugar. Knead the dough, gradually adding flour from the inner edge. Then add margarine and chop the dough with a knife.

Step 8

Step 8
After half an hour, take out the dough and divide it into two unequal parts (3/4 and 1/4). Line the bottom of the multicooker bowl with two strips of parchment to make the cake easier to remove. Roll out most of the dough into a circle slightly larger than the diameter of the multicooker bowl and place it on the bottom, forming small sides.

Step 9

Step 9
Spread jam on the dough. The jam level should be below the sides of the pie.

Step 10

Step 10
Place the remaining dough on top of the jam, tearing it into pieces. You can also roll the dough into balls or simply grate it. Bake on the "Baking" setting for 1 hour. The exact time and mode depend on your oven. You can read more about this in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 11

Step 11
Let the finished pie sit in the bowl for 5-10 minutes until the dough sets, then remove it. If desired, dust the cake with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
