Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make Turkish burek with meat filling? Prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. You can use any minced meat: pork, beef, mixed. Peel the onion, rinse and cut into medium cubes.

Step 2

Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, add onion and fry until golden brown, add minced meat and stir. Fry everything together a little, add salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything again, cover with a lid and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Cool the finished filling to room temperature.

Step 3

Step 3
Prepare the necessary ingredients for impregnation. In a cup, mix eggs, natural yogurt without additives, vegetable oil and water. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

Step 4

Step 4
Take a sheet of phyllo dough, brush it with the coating and place some of the filling on one edge.

Step 5

Step 5
Roll the dough with filling into a roll. Do this carefully so as not to tear the thin dough.

Step 6

Step 6
Wrap the roll in a snail and place in a baking dish. I have a mold with a diameter of 26 cm. I covered the bottom of the mold with parchment and greased it with vegetable oil. Do the same with the rest of the dough, soaking and filling. So form a large snail pie.

Step 7

Step 7
For a golden brown crust, mix the egg with yogurt and brush the future burek with this mixture. If desired, you can sprinkle it with sesame seeds. Bake the burek in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. It may take a little more or less time, depending on your oven. I baked for 30 minutes on the top/bottom heat setting. Bon appetit!
