Vegetable oil 50 g

How to bake chicken and potato pies in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the dough. Mix eggs, sour cream, baking powder and salt. Add about 100 grams of flour.

Melt the butter. This can be done in the microwave or in a water bath. Cool the butter and add it to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Start adding the rest of the flour. You may need a little more or a little less flour, so add it gradually. Knead the dough.

Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for an hour.

Prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. Finely chop the chicken fillet. Also turn on the oven to 190 degrees in advance.

Wash and peel the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes and grate the carrots.

Boil the potatoes. Boiled potatoes can be cut into cubes, but I mashed them.

Fry the meat with onions and carrots in a frying pan in a small amount of vegetable oil until cooked and mix with mashed potatoes. Add salt to taste.

You can start forming the pies. Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Divide it in half. Divide one part into 5 more parts.

Roll out a round cake with a diameter of approximately 15 cm. Carefully fold the edges of the cake inward. Using a wooden skewer, toothpick, or regular fork, make patterns along the edge, as in the photo. Do the same with the remaining four tortillas.

Place the cakes on a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment. If you have a silicone mat like I do, you donʼt need to oil it.

Roll out the rest of the dough thinly. Cut it into triangles.

Randomly place the dough triangles on top of the filling. Press them lightly with your fingers. Bake the pies in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 190 degrees.
