Arabic semolina pie on kefir with nuts and lemon syrup. The recipe is very easy to remember, since the main ingredients are measured in a glass. The dough is prepared easily and quickly, without using a mixer, and bakes perfectly in the oven. Basbousa is prepared not only with kefir, but also with natural unsweetened yogurt. Basbousa should be cut hot and immediately soaked in syrup.

For syrup::

Sugar 0.5 cup
Water 0.5 cup
Lemon juice 2 tbsp

For the test::

Semolina 1 cup
Wheat flour 1 cup
Kefir 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Vegetable oil 1 cup
coconut flakes 40 g
Walnuts 12 pc
Almond 20 pc
Eggs 1 pc

Cover the baking sheet with foil and grease it with vegetable oil.

Now prepare the dough: combine the dry ingredients — sugar, flour, semolina, coconut, chopped walnuts and almonds, baking powder and vanillin, mix.

Separately combine kefir, egg and vegetable oil, mix with a whisk until smooth.

Pour the liquid mixture into the dry mixture.
