Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make layer cake with rice? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Remove the puff pastry from the freezer. You can use yeast-free or yeast-free. I took the yeast puff pastry in layers. Below the steps you will find homemade puff pastry recipes. Boil the rice in boiling salted water until half cooked (1/2 or 2/3 of the time indicated on the package), drain in a colander. You will learn all the subtleties of choosing rice from the article below the steps.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the eggs in warm water and soda, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface. Boil the eggs hard, cool, peel and cut into cubes or grate on a coarse grater. Wash the greens, dry with a napkin or paper towel and chop finely. Take any greens to your taste. I took parsley.

Step 3

Step 3
Combine rice, boiled eggs, sour cream and herbs in a deep bowl. Instead of sour cream, you can use classic yogurt, or mix sour cream with mayonnaise.

Step 4

Step 4
Add salt and pepper to taste, mix everything well.

Step 5

Step 5
Wait until the dough is completely defrosted at room temperature. It is advisable to do this in a package, as the top layer of dough may dry out. This may take approximately 3 hours.

Step 6

Step 6
Dust the surface on which you will be working with the dough with flour. Roll out each sheet of dough into equal-sized squares.

Step 7

Step 7
Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, you can grease the parchment with sunflower oil, I didn’t do this because I worked with proven paper, and I knew for sure that it would not stick to the dough. Place the first part of the dough on the parchment.

Step 8

Step 8
Place all the filling on top and distribute evenly around the entire perimeter, leaving 1 cm on each side.

Step 9

Step 9
Cover with a second layer of dough.

Step 10

Step 10
Carefully bring the edges of the pie together and pinch.

Step 11

Step 11
Use a fork or toothpick to poke holes all over the surface of the cake, this will help steam escape and ensure even baking.

Step 12

Step 12
Take the remaining egg, break it into a bowl and beat for a couple of minutes with a fork or whisk.

Step 13

Step 13
Using a silicone brush, brush the entire surface of the cake with beaten egg.

Step 14

Step 14
Place the pie in an oven preheated to 180°C for 25-30 minutes. The times are approximate, as much depends on the characteristics of each oven. The finished pie will have a beautiful golden crust. Cooking times and temperatures are approximate; be guided by the operating characteristics of your equipment. Read more about ovens in the article at the end of this recipe.
