How to make cottage cheese pie with shortbread crumbs? Prepare your ingredients. Remove eggs, butter and cottage cheese from the refrigerator in advance. They should come to room temperature. It’s better to take natural cottage cheese; when buying store-bought cottage cheese, pay attention to the absence of vegetable fats and consistency: it should not be too wet and not too dry, the higher the fat content, the tastier it will be.

Prepare the filling. How to make the filling? Add sugar and vanillin to the bowl with cottage cheese. You can change the amount of sugar depending on your taste. Instead of vanillin, vanilla sugar is suitable; add a teaspoon of it. Stir the mixture well. Beat chicken eggs into a bowl with curd mass.

Mix the filling thoroughly. The eggs should disperse well in the curd mass. The filling is ready.

Prepare the dough. How to make the dough? Take another bowl, put soft butter, cut into pieces, into it. Add sugar and a pinch of salt. Mash the butter, either with a mixer or with a regular spatula.

Pour the sifted flour mixed with baking powder into a bowl with butter. First stir the dough with a spoon. Then rub it with your hands until crumbs form; the crumbs should not be very large. At the same time, it should stick together when squeezed.

Grease the pie pan with butter. Pour two-thirds of the crumb dough into it and make sides with your hands. Place the curd mass in the middle, carefully leveling it with a spoon to the sides.

Sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the pie for about 25-35 minutes (depend on how your oven operates). The pie should be slightly browned on top. Remove the pie pan from the oven. Let it cool slightly in the mold. A hot cake is soft and may fall apart when removed. When it cools a little, it will harden.
