Onion 300 g

Butter 150 g

How to bake kubite, a chicken pie? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Remove the puff pastry from the freezer in advance to defrost. I have a two-layer package.

Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into thin rings.

Peel the onion and cut into half rings. To prevent the onion from stinging your eyes when cutting, rinse it and the onion with cold water.

Wash the breast fillet, dry it and cut into small slices, but not too finely. Place the meat in a bowl and toss with salt and pepper.

Grease the form in which you will cook with oil. I chose a 20x20 ceramic square mold with high sides (5 cm). There will be a lot of filling, so either choose a large, low shape, or a small, but tall one. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

Roll out one layer of puff pastry to the size of the mold, leaving a few centimeters to spare for the hem. Place the first layer of dough into the mold.

Place a third of the chopped onion on the dough in one layer.

Place chopped potatoes on top of the onion, salt and pepper to taste.

Next again comes a layer of onions, a layer of potatoes, do not forget to add salt and pepper again.

The next step is to add the remaining onion and chopped chicken breast fillet.

Spread butter evenly over breast. Thanks to the oil, the meat will be juicy and flavorful.

Take the second layer of dough and cover the pie with it. Pinch the edges.

Lightly beat the egg and brush the cake evenly with a pastry brush.

Use a fork to prick the entire area of the pie to allow steam to escape. Place the kubite in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes. The exact time depends on the features of your oven. If the top burns, cover the pie with foil.
