Oranges 1 pc
Eggs 3 pc
Baking powder 0.25 tsp

How to bake a simple orange pie in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Take an orange, wash it under running water with a special fruit detergent or soda, and dry it. We need to collect the zest from half an orange. To do this, grate the colored part of the peel on a fine grater. In this case, you need to try not to touch the white soft layer, because then the zest will be bitter.

Remove the zest from the second half of the peel with a knife and finely chop. This is necessary in order to further decorate our baked goods.

Peel the orange from any remaining peel and divide into slices.

Peel each slice from films and seeds (if any) and cut into 2-3 parts.

Wash the eggs in running water and soda, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface. Beat them into a bowl, add sugar and beat with a mixer into a fluffy, stable foam for about 5 minutes. Sift the flour and baking powder through a sieve and add in parts to the bowl, beating with a mixer at low speed. Place orange pulp and grated zest into the dough. Mix gently with a spatula, being careful not to let the dough settle. You may need less or more flour.

The dough should be like thick sour cream. Take a baking dish and line the bottom with baking paper. Next, grease the bottom and walls with butter. Pour the orange batter into the mold and smooth it out with a silicone spatula. Bake the orange pie for about 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. The times are approximate, be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.
