Fragrant, tender, super juicy! A full lunch or dinner. A whole chicken with potatoes in the oven in the sleeve is a wonderful two-in-one dish, because the side dish is prepared at the same time as the bird. Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a delicious whole chicken with potatoes in the oven in the sleeve? It couldnʼt be simpler! If you wish, you can bake the chicken not whole, but first chop it into portions. You can add or replace spices to your liking.

Step 2

Step 2
Combine sour cream with garlic passed through a press, chicken seasonings, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and leave to infuse. You can replace sour cream with mayonnaise or make a sauce from sour cream and mayonnaise in equal proportions.

Step 3

Step 3
Rinse the chicken. Cut along the brisket line and flatten. If you wish, you can pound the back of the chicken with a hammer to make it softer.

Step 4

Step 4
Coat the chicken on all sides with sour cream and spices and leave to marinate for 1 hour at room temperature or longer, but in the refrigerator.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut into large slices.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the potatoes in a bowl, pour over the vegetable oil, salt and pepper and stir.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the potatoes in a single layer in a baking sleeve. Place marinated chicken on top. Tie the edges of the sleeve on both sides. On top of the carcass, slightly cut the sleeve to allow steam to escape.

Step 8

Step 8
Bake the chicken and potatoes in an oven preheated to 190°C for about 1.5 hours. Then unfold the sleeve and return the bird to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until a golden brown crust appears. I set it to grill mode. Read more about how to choose the right baking time and temperature in the article. The link is at the end of the recipe.

Step 9
