Ingredients (5 portions)

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Water 1.5 l
Rice 80 g
Potato 300 g
Bay leaf 2 pc
Carrot 1 pc
Dill 1 g
Sunflower oil (for frying) 20 ml
Chicken legs 2 pc

How to cook chicken soup with rice and potatoes? Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Wash the chicken drumsticks in running water. Pour clean filtered water into a saucepan and place on fire. When the water boils, add salt and chicken drumstick, cook over medium heat for 25-30 minutes until cooked. Take the potatoes, wash them with a brush under running water and peel them. Cut the potatoes into small cubes.

When the chicken drumsticks are ready, add the potatoes to the pan and cook until tender, 10-15 minutes. Cooking time may vary slightly, depending on the type of potato and cutting method. Peel the onion, rinse and cut into cubes.

Wash the carrots in running water with a brush, peel, grate on a fine or coarse grater, as you like.

Place chopped onion in a frying pan preheated on the stove, greased with sunflower oil. Stir-fry over medium heat for about 2 minutes.

Add grated carrots to the pan and stir.

Fry everything together for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

When the potatoes are ready — they can be easily pierced with a knife or fork, add rice, previously washed several times (until clean water), to the soup. Then after 15 minutes, add fried onions and carrots to the soup.

Wash the dill in running water, dry with paper towels, and cut with a knife. Add dill to the pan.

Mix everything and turn off the stove. Let the soup sit for a while with the lid closed. Chicken soup with rice and potatoes is ready.
