How to cook delicious soup from fresh frozen mackerel quickly and easily? Start by preparing the required ingredients according to the list. I have frozen mackerel soup, but you can replace it with fresh one. You can replace fresh parsley root with a mixture of dried roots or with a celery root or stalk.

If the fish is already gutted, remove the fins and gills and rinse it well. Frozen fish usually requires additional cleaning. Without defrosting completely, remove the entrails, black films inside the abdomen, and remove the gills. Rinse everything thoroughly. Cut the fish into portions. To keep the broth transparent, it is advisable to pour water over the fish pieces and leave for 10 minutes so that all the blood comes out of the fish.

Wash and peel all vegetables. Cut the potatoes into medium cubes.

Cut the carrots into small cubes.

Cut the parsley root into small cubes.

Also cut the onion into small cubes. If you don’t like to taste the onion in the finished soup, you can leave the onion whole, put it in the broth with the potatoes and remove it at the end of cooking.

Heat the butter in a frying pan. Add onion, garlic, carrots and parsley root to the pan. Fry, stirring, 5-7 minutes.
