Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake pink salmon with mayonnaise, onions and cheese in the oven? Prepare all the products listed on the list. It is better to use fresh pink salmon that has not been frozen, then the finished dish will be especially juicy. If you have frozen fish, then you must first remove it from the freezer and leave it at room temperature until completely thawed. For the recipe, use pink salmon fillets or steaks.

Step 2

Step 2
Clean the pink salmon from scales and rinse under running cold water. Dry with a kitchen towel. Place the fish pieces in a suitable sized baking dish. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour in a little water so that it covers the bottom of the mold by about 3-5 mm.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onion. To make the finished dish look bright, I used red onion. Rinse the onion and herbs. Dill and parsley are ideal greens. Cut the onion into half rings or quarter rings and chop the greens.

Step 4

Step 4
Place onion rings on top of the fish.

Step 5

Step 5
Next, distribute the aromatic herbs evenly.

Step 6

Step 6
Grate the cheese using a fine-toothed grater. Place a third of the cheese in a deep container, add mayonnaise and mix thoroughly. You can make your own mayonnaise. Below the steps you will find a link to homemade mayonnaise recipes

Step 7

Step 7
Place cheese and mayonnaise on each piece of pink salmon. Sprinkle remaining grated cheese evenly on top.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the baking dish in a preheated oven and leave until the fish is completely cooked. Cooking time and temperature depend on the capabilities of your oven. I baked at 200 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Read more about ovens in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 9

Step 9
Serve pink salmon hot with fresh vegetables or boiled cereals. The fish can also be served chilled.
