Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make sugar-free almond milk at home? Prepare all ingredients. The process of preparing almond milk literally takes a couple of minutes, but you need to prepare the nuts for this process in advance. Rinse the nuts thoroughly, place in a bowl and cover with cold, clean water. Leave the nuts soaked overnight. In the morning, drain the water. The almonds should swell. Rinse the nuts well with water again.

Step 2

Step 2
The skins of the nuts do not need to be removed, because the kernels will be crushed into flour in a blender. Place the almonds in a blender or other device in which the nuts can be ground very finely. Pour boiled cold water into the blender bowl. Close the blender with a lid and grind the mixture at maximum speed for about 2 minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
If you don’t have a blender with a large bowl, you can grind the almonds in a coffee grinder, and then beat the almond crumbs with water with a whisk or mixer until you get a milk drink. Those who want a sweeter drink can add a couple of washed pitted dates or prunes. You can also add cocoa, honey, vanilla, cinnamon or other flavoring.

Step 4

Step 4
Then strain the nut mixture through a very fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth folded in several layers. You don’t have to throw away the cake, but leave it for baking. The dough with almond flour will acquire a pleasant nutty taste.

Step 5

Step 5
Almond milk can be served with cookies, buns as an independent product, or added to tea, coffee or cocoa. Homemade almond milk can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Bon appetit!
