Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make cheese pancakes with herbs? Prepare your food. Take milk of any fat content, it doesn’t matter. Hard or semi-hard cheese is suitable for this dish. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well. You can use any greens you like or have on hand.

Step 2

Step 2
Beat the eggs into a bowl. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Add sugar, salt and whisk everything together until smooth.

Step 3

Step 3
Warm the milk slightly and pour into the beaten eggs. Mix everything with a whisk. With warm milk, the dough turns out more homogeneous — the flour will be better diluted in it.

Step 4

Step 4
Sift flour with baking powder. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out airy and rise well during baking.

Step 5

Step 5
Gradually, in several stages, add sifted flour into the dough. After each addition, mix the dough well with a whisk or mixer.

Step 6

Step 6
The dough should be homogeneous, without lumps and quite liquid, like regular thin pancakes.

Step 7

Step 7
Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

Step 8

Step 8
Wash the dill and parsley (or other greens), dry and chop finely.

Step 9

Step 9
Add grated cheese, chopped herbs and vegetable oil to the pancake dough.

Step 10

Step 10
Stir. If the resulting dough is too thick, you can thin it with warm milk or water.

Step 11

Step 11
Fry the cheese pancakes in a hot frying pan until golden brown on both sides. There is no need to grease the pan, since the dough already contains vegetable oil. But before the first pancake, coat it with a small amount so that it doesn’t come out lumpy.

Step 12

Step 12
Stack the finished pancakes on top of each other, generously coating them with butter.

Step 13

Step 13
Serve these pancakes with sour cream. Delicious with warm milk. Bon appetit!
