Microwave Buttered Buckwheat

Crumbly buckwheat cooked in the microwave! I never considered a microwave oven as a technique for preparing dishes, and not for heating. But the buckwheat cooked in the microwave turned out to be very crumbly, and preparing it was not difficult at all! Everything is very simple and accessible!

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook boiled buckwheat in the microwave? Prepare all products. Pay special attention to the choice of buckwheat. You shouldn’t skimp on it, so always choose cereal from a reliable manufacturer. Such cereals are pure, without foreign impurities and do not contain larvae of cereal bugs. Even in the store, look at the buckwheat directly in the package: the grains should be smooth and clean. I always use homemade, high-quality butter with a fat content of at least 82%.

Step 2

Step 2
Inspect the cereal thoroughly again, if necessary, remove debris and rinse thoroughly under running water. For this purpose, it is best to use a sieve. Rinse the buckwheat until the water runs completely clear.

Step 3

Step 3
Prepare dishes that can be used in the microwave. Let me remind you once again that under no circumstances should you use metal utensils and other kitchen utensils, as well as utensils with a gold-plated design, in microwave ovens — the microwave oven will spark and may burn. But ceramic, glass, porcelain, wood and even paper dishes are allowed and recommended for use in microwave ovens. Place buckwheat in a bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Take the bowl deeper, because the buckwheat will greatly increase in volume. Fill with water. Take water at the rate of 1 glass of buckwheat 2 glasses of water. Add a little salt.

Step 5

Step 5
Place in the microwave on the rotating glass rack.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover with a microwave-safe lid. Cook at maximum power for 5 minutes (I have a power of 1000, but it can be from 800 to 1200) — the water will boil. Then reduce the power to minimum (400-600) and cook for another 10 minutes. Then leave the bowl with buckwheat in the oven for another 5 minutes. It is necessary that the water is completely absorbed into the buckwheat.

Step 7

Step 7
Add butter to the prepared buckwheat and stir.

Step 8

Step 8
Delicious and crumbly buckwheat is ready! Bon appetit!
