Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make grilled chicken breasts in the oven? Prepare your food. Take large breasts; it is better if they are fresh, not frozen — this meat will turn out juicier. Choose medium-spicy mustard for the marinade; if yours is spicy, then reduce the amount. Take liquid honey or melt it in a water bath. Remove the butter in advance so that it becomes soft.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the chicken breasts well and then pat dry with paper towels. If you have frozen meat, defrost it first. Read about all the intricacies of proper defrosting in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Use a sharp knife to make cross cuts without cutting through the breasts all the way through. The thick part is deeper, the thin part is smaller. Salt and pepper the meat, pour in lemon juice.

Step 3

Step 3
Prepare the marinade glaze. To do this, place soft butter in a bowl. If it has not yet softened, then heat it for 20 seconds in the microwave, but no longer — the butter should become soft, but not melt. Pour soy sauce into the oil, add honey and mustard.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix the marinade, it is better to use a whisk for this, as it is quite difficult to mix. My oil didn’t want to dissolve.

Step 5

Step 5
Brush the breasts with the resulting marinade. It is convenient to do this with a pastry brush. Apply it first to the cuts, then on top of the breasts. Leave the chicken to stand for 15-20 minutes. And then sprinkle the pieces with breadcrumbs.

Step 6

Step 6
Preheat the oven. If you have a grill in it, then turn on the convection + grill mode 200°C. If not, then set the maximum temperature. Cover the baking sheet with foil — it will protect it from the juice that will drain from the chicken. Take a wire rack, from the oven or any other. Place it on a baking sheet. Place the breasts, cut side up, on the grill.

Step 7

Step 7
Bake the breasts for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 8

Step 8
Serve the breasts with any side dish or fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
