Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make delicious fried chicken in the oven with a crispy crust? Any vegetable oil will do. I have sunflower. You can add or replace spices to your liking.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the chicken and dry it. Rub the inside and outside with a mixture of paprika, curry, salt and pepper.

Step 3

Step 3
In a bowl, mix vegetable oil, honey and lemon juice until smooth.

Step 4

Step 4
Now prepare the filling with which you will stuff the chicken.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash the prunes, dry and cut into pieces. It is better to take prunes without pits, soft ones. If the prunes are too hard and dry, you can pour boiling water over them and leave for 10 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Heat the walnuts in a dry frying pan and chop with a knife.

Step 7

Step 7
Wash the apple thoroughly and dry. If desired, you can peel, remove the core and seeds and cut into small cubes. If the apple begins to darken quickly, sprinkle it with lemon juice.

Step 8

Step 8
In a bowl, combine apples, prunes, walnuts, poppy seeds and lemon zest. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 9

Step 9
Stuff the chicken with apple filling and sew up the belly with thread or pierce it with skewers. Tie the legs.

Step 10

Step 10
Coat the chicken with the honey mixture.

Step 11

Step 11
Transfer the bird to a baking dish or baking sheet. If you have any leftover stuffing, place it on the sides of the chicken. Place the chicken in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about 1 hour 20 minutes, periodically basting the bird with the juices that have accumulated. The exact time will depend on your oven and the size of the bird. To prevent the wings from burning, wrap them in foil.

Step 12

Step 12
Remove the finished bird from the oven, cut into portions and serve. Bon appetit!
