Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make chicken stew in the oven? Prepare your food. You can take the whole chicken or any parts of it. But it’s better if they have a small amount of fat — then the stew will be juicier. You can vary the set of spices depending on your taste or their availability. From the specified amount you get 1 half-liter jar of ready-made stew.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the chicken well and dry with paper towels. Trim the meat from the bones, you can leave small bones. Chop the tubular bones so that the air comes out of them. Salt and pepper the chicken meat, add turmeric for color. Be sure to trim off the fat and set it aside for now—youʼll need it later.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the jars and lids well and sterilize them in any way. For information on how to do this, follow the link in the article at the end of the recipe. Place bay leaves and peppercorns at the bottom of the prepared jars.

Step 4

Step 4
Fill the jars with meat up to the shoulders.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the filled jars on a baking sheet.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover the jars with foil and make holes in it. Place the baking sheet in a cold oven, first turning it on at 200 degrees. After the stew boils, reduce the temperature to 100-120 degrees. Keep the stew in the oven for at least 3 hours, more if you have larger jars.

Step 7

Step 7
Melt the trimmed fat in a dry frying pan.

Step 8

Step 8
After the time has passed, remove the cans of stew and fill with the resulting fat.

Step 9

Step 9
Close the jars with sterile lids, turn them over and place under the “fur coat” until they cool completely.

Step 10

Step 10
Store the finished stew in a cool place. Bon appetit!
