Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make BBQ chicken wings in the oven? Prepare everything you need. Wash the chicken wings, dry and place in a deep bowl. If desired, you can cut them into two or three parts. I usually prefer to bake them whole.

Step 2

Step 2
How to make a marinade? Prepare all ingredients. Dry garlic can be replaced with fresh garlic. If you wish, you can add your favorite spices.

Step 3

Step 3
In a bowl, combine tomato paste, soy sauce, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, dry garlic, dried basil and ground black pepper.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix everything well.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour the marinade into the wings.

Step 6

Step 6
Mix everything well so that the tomato marinade is evenly distributed over all the wings.

Step 7

Step 7
Cover the container with the wings with cling film and marinate in the refrigerator for 5 hours, or better yet overnight — this way the meat will be better saturated with the marinade, it will be juicier and more aromatic. Shake the wings periodically to distribute the marinade more evenly.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 25 minutes, periodically pouring fat from the bottom of the pan. Then turn on the top grill and grill the wings for another 10 minutes. The times are approximate, always be guided by the operating characteristics of your equipment. Read more about ovens in a separate article at the end of the recipe. Wings in BBQ sauce are ready. Serve them to the table. Bon appetit!
