Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make quesadia with chicken and cheese at home? Prepare your food. Any chicken meat will do, I used breast fillet. Take cheese that melts well and is tasty. Instead of hot pepper, you can use regular bell pepper. And instead (or together) of green onions — any greens. Cilantro goes well with quesadia.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the chicken meat and dry it well, otherwise it will not be fried, but stewed. Cut it into small pieces. The thinner the better — it will be ready faster.

Step 3

Step 3
Heat a frying pan over high heat, pour in vegetable oil for frying. Place chicken meat in heated oil. Salt and season with any spices to taste. Fry the meat, stirring occasionally, for 5-10 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces, until golden brown. Read about how to choose the ideal frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into small cubes.

Step 5

Step 5
Cut the hot pepper in half and remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into small pieces. Here, be guided by your taste, take into account the spiciness of the pepper, and you can reduce its quantity.

Step 6

Step 6
Wash and dry the green onions. Chop it finely.

Step 7

Step 7
Grate the cheese.

Step 8

Step 8
If necessary, warm the tortilla slightly in a dry frying pan. This will make it softer and easier to fold in half. Place grated cheese on half of the tortilla and place chicken, tomatoes, peppers and herbs on top. Cover the filling with the free half. Alternatively, you can make a quesadia by placing the filling on a whole tortilla and covering it with another tortilla. And when serving, cut it into portions.

Step 9

Step 9
Fry the quesadia on both sides in a dry frying pan, preferably a grill pan. The cheese inside should melt and the filling should warm up.

Step 10

Step 10
Serve the quesadia by cutting into portions. Bon appetit!
