Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry chicken thighs in a frying pan? Prepare all the products indicated in the recipe. If you have frozen chicken thighs, you must first defrost them at room temperature. Scorch the thighs to get rid of any remaining feathers and fluff, rinse under running cold water and dry with paper towels.

Step 2

Step 2
I had chicken legs, so I separated the drumstick from the thigh. You can cook both parts of the chicken or just one.

Step 3

Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a thick-bottomed frying pan. Place the thighs in the pan and fry until golden brown.

Step 4

Step 4
Turn each piece over and leave until golden brown.

Step 5

Step 5
Add a little water to the pan, cover with a lid, reduce the heat on the stove to moderate and cook the chicken for 30-40 minutes. Periodically open the lid and check whether there is liquid in the pan and whether the meat is burning. If there is no or little liquid, then add just a little boiling water to allow the thighs to simmer. Sometimes you need a little more or less water; be careful not to burn anything.

Step 6

Step 6
While the chicken is cooking, peel the onion and garlic. Chop the onions into thin rings or half rings, and pass the garlic through a press or chop with a knife.

Step 7

Step 7
After the allotted time, when the thighs are completely ready, open the lid. If there is a lot of liquid in the pan at this moment, then increase the flame slightly and evaporate the excess juice. Add butter (optional), onion and garlic to the thighs. Salt to taste, add your favorite spices. Fry until the onion is ready.

Step 8

Step 8
Sprinkle the finished dish with finely chopped herbs. Dill, parsley, young onions or cilantro are perfect.

Step 9

Step 9
Ready! Serve hot.
