Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
There are many different ways to prepare blackcurrant tinctures, but we will focus on one of the simplest and fastest, moonshine. For such purposes, moonshine must be purchased of good quality from a trusted manufacturer; the strength of the alcoholic base should be at least 40 degrees. Blackcurrant berries can be used both fresh and frozen to prepare the tincture; even in a frozen product, beneficial substances are retained.

Step 2

Step 2
We carefully sort the berries, remove spoiled, rotten and small ones, leave large and well-ripe berries, rinse well and place in a colander, let the water drain. Let the frozen berries thaw naturally.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the berries in a glass container, add sugar and fill them with moonshine. Close the bowl with a rubber or nylon lid and shake vigorously so that the sugar dissolves immediately. We put the container with the tincture preparation in a dark, warm place (conveniently in a kitchen cabinet) for two weeks. But don’t forget about the drink, you need to shake the tincture every two or three days.

Step 4

Step 4
After the specified time, filter the liquid through gauze folded in several layers.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour the tincture into dark jars or bottles and put it away for cool storage. The drink can be consumed only after another two weeks of aging.
