Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
Paprika 1 tbsp
Turkey fillet 600 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make turkey in tomato sauce in a frying pan? A very simple dish. To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. Take the turkey without the bone, just the flesh. Meat from the breast or thigh of the bird is suitable. You can use any vegetable oil. I have sunflower.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the turkey fillet, dry it and cut into medium pieces. If you have not just a fillet, but a thigh with bone and skin, first remove the skin and cut out the bone.

Step 3

Step 3
Sprinkle the meat with paprika, salt and pepper. In addition to the spices specified in the recipe, you can add your own to taste. A special mixture of spices for turkey or poultry will do (in this case, look at the composition on the package; if it already contains salt and pepper, additionally add these spices with caution).

Step 4

Step 4
Mix thoroughly and leave to marinate for 30-40 minutes.

Step 5

Step 5
Peel ripe juicy tomatoes. Cut the pulp into very small cubes. Or, if you wish, you can grate the tomatoes on a fine grater. How to quickly peel tomatoes? To do this, you need to make shallow cuts crosswise on them and lower them into boiling water for 1-2 minutes. After this, the skin will come off quite easily.

Step 6

Step 6
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. If you or your kids donʼt like onions, you can simply leave them out.

Step 7

Step 7
In a frying pan over high heat, heat 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Add turkey fillet and fry for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer turkey to a plate.

Step 8

Step 8
In an empty frying pan, heat the remaining vegetable oil over medium heat. Add onion and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

Step 9
Add chopped tomatoes to the onions. You can replace fresh tomatoes with ready-made crushed store-bought tomatoes in their own juice.

Step 10

Step 10
Add tomato paste. Simmer, stirring, for 5 minutes. You can replace tomato paste with tomato ketchup.

Step 11

Step 11
Add water and bring tomato sauce to a boil.

Step 12

Step 12
Return the previously roasted turkey to the pan with the sauce and stir to combine.

Step 13

Step 13
Simmer over low heat, covered, for 10-12 minutes. Sprinkle the finished turkey in tomato sauce with fresh herbs and serve. Bon appetit!
