Garlic 1 clove
Salt 0.5 g
Sour cream 150 g
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Khmeli-suneli 0.5 tsp
Ready mustard 1 tbsp

How to make pork stew in sour cream? Prepare the indicated products. It is better to take fresh pork, without streaks of fat. Sour cream with a fat content of 20 — 25% (I have 25%). Russian mustard, ready. For spices I use hops-suneli, but you can also use your favorite spices. Prepare a saucepan with a thick bottom or a saucepan, a frying pan with high sides.

Wash the pork under running cold water and dry it with a towel (paper or plain, the meat should be dry so that it can be fried and not stewed). Cut the pork into pieces, either into cubes or cubes. Just keep in mind that the thicker the meat is cut, the longer it will take to cook. Sprinkle the chopped pork with spices and stir.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan or saucepan and fry the chopped pork until golden brown; it is better to do this in parts if the saucepan is small in diameter so that the pieces do not touch each other.

Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Add the chopped onion to the pork and fry everything together over medium heat without a lid for 5 — 7 minutes.

Pour 150 — 200 ml of hot water into the meat and onions (so that the cooking process does not stop), close the saucepan with a lid and simmer the meat over low heat for 40 — 45 minutes.

Mix sour cream with mustard and salt. Add this mixture to the pork, stir and continue to simmer, covered, for another 15 minutes.

Peel the garlic clove and pass it through a press. Add garlic to meat, stir. Simmer for a couple more minutes. At the end of cooking, taste for salt and add more salt if necessary.

Serve the finished pork stewed in sour cream hot. For a side dish you can choose boiled buckwheat, rice, pasta, mashed potatoes. I offered my family this pork with boiled buckwheat.
