Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients for making puff pastry curls with sugar. You will need puff pastry. You can use any, I used yeast-free. You will also need a little granulated sugar and just a little water.

Step 2

Step 2
Puff pastry needs to be defrosted. Lightly dust the surface of the table with wheat flour. Carefully unroll the layer of defrosted puff pastry.

Step 3

Step 3
Roll out the dough a little with a rolling pin to make it thinner, but without fanaticism. The dough should be approximately 1-2 mm thick

Step 4

Step 4
Sprinkle the dough with sugar and carefully fold the edges to the center on one side and the other. I turned on the wider side. When cut, you get original curls — a kind of “ears” or “lamb horns”.

Step 5

Step 5
Lightly moisten the resulting “rolls” with water and cut into pieces about 1 cm thick. Roll each “curl” on all sides in granulated sugar.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover a baking sheet with good quality parchment paper and lay out the pieces. Try to place them at some distance from each other, as the dough will increase in volume during baking.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the curls in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake until deliciously browned. The exact cooking time depends on the specific dough (see instructions on the package), but it is approximately 15-25 minutes. Remove the finished curls from the oven and cool, remove from the baking sheet and serve. Bon appetit!
