Creamy Oven-Baked Cheese Mushrooms

An easy, delicious addition to lunch and a snack for the holidays! Mushrooms in cream with cheese baked in the oven look great on the table as an appetizer or as an addition to any hot dish. They can also be used as a side dish. They take only 25 minutes to prepare!

Ingredients (2 portions)

Basic:

Salt to taste
Wheat flour 1 tbsp
Hard cheese 50 g
Bulb onions 1 pc
Vegetable oil 20 g
Champignon 300 g
Dry spices to taste
Cream 200 ml

How to make mushrooms in cream with cheese in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. For cooking I will use champignons. They can be any size. Small mushrooms may not need to be cut at all. Choose cheese according to your taste.

Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and finely chop. Heat the frying pan until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add chopped onion and fry for 1-2 minutes until translucent.

Rinse the champignons well in running water to remove any dirt. Place the whole small mushrooms in the frying pan with the onions. Cut large ones into 2-4 pieces. There is no need to finely chop the mushrooms — they will shrink in size. Fry the mushrooms and onions for a couple more minutes.

Then sprinkle the mushrooms with flour. Add salt and some spices to taste. Mix everything.

Prepare a baking dish. It can be glass, silicone or, like mine, ceramic. Transfer the mushrooms from the frying pan to the mold. Fill with cream.

Drizzle cream over all mushrooms. You can sprinkle ground pepper on top. Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 15 minutes. During baking, the mushrooms will decrease in size.

2-3 minutes before the end of baking, sprinkle the mushrooms with grated cheese.

The cheese will have time to melt. Remove the finished champignons in cream and cheese from the oven and can be served immediately. Bon appetit!
