Basic:

Onion 1 pc

Ground black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil 5 tbsp
bell pepper 1 pc
Greenery to taste
Trout (I used trout, but you can use other fish according to your taste.) 1 pc

How to make fish with vegetables in a frying pan? Prepare all the products indicated in the recipe. If you have frozen fish, remove it from the freezer in advance and leave it at room temperature until completely thawed. Gut the fish, remove scales, and remove the head and tail. Cut off the fins.

Rinse the trout under running cold water and dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the carcass into steaks about 1-1.5 cm thick. Lightly salt the fish on both sides.

Peel the onion. Cut the bell pepper in half, remove the core and seeds. Rinse all vegetables. Cut the pepper into thin strips, the onion into medium-sized cubes, and leave the cherry tomatoes either whole or cut in half. You can first remove the skin from the tomatoes.

Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan. If necessary, its quantity can be increased slightly. Fry the onions and bell peppers. Cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until the onion turns golden.

Add cherry tomatoes to the pan. Salt the vegetables to taste and add your favorite spices and seasonings. I used a pinch of dried garlic, some herbes de Provence and mixed vegetables. Stirring, cook for about two more minutes. Remove the vegetables from the pan to a separate plate.

Reduce the stove flame to just below medium. Place the trout pieces in the pan where the vegetables were fried. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side, then turn the pieces over and fry until done (about another 5-7 minutes).

Place the fried vegetables in an even layer on the trout, cover the pan with a lid and leave for 2-3 minutes.

Sprinkle the finished dish with ground pepper and finely chopped herbs.
