Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to prepare zucchini for first feeding at home? Prepare the vegetables. If you are just starting complementary feeding, you can take less zucchini — 30-50 grams, so as not to simply waste food. It is best to give puree in the morning so that you can observe the child’s reaction all day. If any manifestations of allergies appear (rash, etc.), postpone the introduction of complementary foods for some time.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the zucchini, peel and cut into slices approximately 1 cm thick. Small seeds do not need to be removed; they are easily ground in a blender. It is advisable to remove large ones.

Step 3

Step 3
You can cook zucchini: in a slow cooker, in a double boiler, boil it in a saucepan, or place a metal colander on the saucepan and steam it. I used a steaming pan. Pour some water into a saucepan, place a steamer on it and place the zucchini there. Cover with a lid and steam until soft. If the zucchini can be easily pierced with a fork, then you can turn off the heat. It took me 25 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4
When the zucchini has cooled a little, you need to transfer it to a bowl and puree it with a blender. Alternatively, you can mash the zucchini with a fork or press through a sieve. There is no need to add salt, since you are just starting complementary feeding. When your baby adapts to a new diet.
