Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make spaghetti carbonara with bacon and cheese in a creamy sauce in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary products. Olive oil can be replaced with odorless vegetable oil.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the bacon into small thin slices.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the pre-peeled and washed garlic into thin slices. You can chop it finely, pass it through a press, or simply crush whole cloves.

Step 4

Step 4
In a frying pan with olive oil, fry the bacon over moderate heat for a couple of minutes. Tips on choosing a frying pan for cooking can be found in the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
Add garlic to the pan. Fry the bacon and garlic, stirring occasionally, until the bacon slices are browned. If desired, the amount of garlic can be increased.

Step 6

Step 6
At the same time, cook the pasta. Take water at the rate of 1 liter per 100 grams of pasta. Place the spaghetti in boiling salted water. Stir. Cook over moderate boil, stirring, until al dente. That is, the pasta should be slightly undercooked inside. You can read how to cook pasta correctly in the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the finished spaghetti in a colander to drain. Reserve some of the pasta water. It may come in handy later.

Step 8

Step 8
Make carbonara sauce. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Take only hard cheeses that melt well and do not contain milk fat substitutes. The quality of the cheese will especially influence the taste of the dish. Parmesan works well. It makes the sauce very aromatic and tasty.

Step 9

Step 9
Mix the cream with egg yolks until smooth. Add grated cheese, add a little salt and stir. When adding salt, consider the taste of the cheese. Read about the nuances of using cream in sauces in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 10

Step 10
Add hot pasta to the fried bacon and stir.

Step 11

Step 11
Pour cream sauce over spaghetti. Add ground black pepper. Warm the dish over low heat, stirring, for 2-3 minutes. The sauce will thicken a little and the cheese will melt. If you need to dilute the thickness of the sauce, pour in 1-2 tbsp. l. water in which pasta was cooked and stir.

Step 12

Step 12
Serve spaghetti with bacon and cream immediately. Bon appetit!
