Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to steam chicken breast? Very simple. Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Step 2

Step 2
Separate the breast from the bones, sinews and skin. Keep in mind that breast usually refers to the skin-on, bone-in portion of the chicken. We will need the sirloin part. It can also be purchased ready-made. This will speed up the cooking process. Even without everything, the breast turns out incredibly tasty, but if you wish, you can rub the chicken with your favorite spices at this stage.

Step 3

Step 3
Fill the steamer (in my case, a pressure cooker) with water and put it on fire. Wait for the water to boil. Moisten the grill and place the breast on it. Insert the wire rack into the pressure cooker. Calculate the cooking time for the breast from the moment the water boils. With the lid closed, steam the breast on one side for 4-5 minutes. You can also use a multicooker with a special steam grate or build a steamer from a saucepan and a colander (or sieve).

Step 4

Step 4
Turn the breast over and steam with the lid closed for 4-5 minutes. This is exactly the time that should be enough to get juicy meat in its own juice. If you overcook, the meat will turn out dry. And you shouldn’t steam the breast for less time. The meat will remain raw inside. At the end of cooking, wrap the breast in foil and let it sit for 2-3 minutes. The meat will “rest” and the juice inside will be evenly distributed.

Step 5

Step 5
Chicken breast prepared in this way turns out very tender and juicy. You can eat it as an independent dish for dinner, or serve it at the holiday table. Chicken breast is a source of easily digestible protein. So, consuming it will speed up your metabolism and help you lose extra pounds. Bon appetit!
