Delicious, toasted bread — for snacks and sandwiches! If you need a quick recipe for making a hot sandwich or just want to vary the taste of your bread. Cook bread in milk with egg in a frying pan — croutons. Croutons can be made sweet by adding sugar to milk. Or you can make a base for an appetizer and put any salad on top. Or you can simply eat it with soup or borscht. Youʼll love the croutons!

Basic:

Salt (one small pinch) to taste
Milk 1 tbsp
Eggs 1 pc
Vegetable oil (for frying) 2 tbsp
Bread 100 g

Slice the bread. You can fry whole pieces. Or cut in half, like I did, or cut into quarters for canapés.

Break an egg into a plate, add salt and whisk.

Add milk, whisk until smooth.

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture.

Place the bread in the pan.

Fry on both sides. Place on a napkin and towel to remove excess oil. Thatʼs it, the croutons are ready.
