Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make mackerel with onions in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Choose any spices to suit your taste. I use ready-made spices specifically for fish.

Step 2

Step 2
To cook mackerel you need to prepare it. To do this, cut off the head and tail. Make a longitudinal cut and remove all the insides, carefully removing the black film. Then rinse the fish carcass well in running water and dry it with paper towels to remove excess water. Cut the fish into pieces 2-3 cm thick.

Step 3

Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix flour with salt and spices. Roll each piece of fish in the resulting flour mixture on all sides.

Step 4

Step 4
Separately, peel the onion, rinse it and cut it into half rings or a little smaller.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and place the fish dredged in flour. Fry the fish on each side for 2-3 minutes. It will turn a little golden color.

Step 6

Step 6
Then add chopped onion to the fish in the pan. Distribute it evenly between the fish pieces. Fry the fish and onions for a couple of minutes.

Step 7

Step 7
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes so that the fish and onions are saturated with each otherʼs aroma.

Step 8

Step 8
Delicious and aromatic mackerel with onions is ready! Place the fish on a plate and serve, topped with fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
