Tomato-Mango Salsa

This salsa is good served with fish, meat, and seafood. Salsa (Spanish salsa — “sauce”) is a traditional sauce of Mexican cuisine. This is a spicy vegetable sauce whose main ingredients are tomatoes and chili peppers. It can be prepared not only from vegetables, but also from fruits (pineapple, mango, orange, papaya, etc.). Sometimes vegetables and fruits are used to prepare the sauce at the same time. These are modern varieties of “Salsa”.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the food, wash everything well, peel the mango and onion. If desired, remove the skin from the tomato/I found it very tender and I left it, it did not affect the taste /.

Step 2

Step 2
Chop the onion, tomato, and herbs into very small cubes. Chop the mango a little larger. I wash and clean hot peppers only with medical gloves, it is advisable to cover the plate with film, it is too hot. I take it from the nails of my little finger, cut it very finely and put it straight into a deep salad bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Add all the cuttings, a pinch of salt, ground black pepper, and a little honey. Season with 2 tsp. lemon juice and 1 tbsp. olive oil, mix carefully and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes. Thatʼs it, the sauce is ready!

Step 4

Step 4
It is very good to serve with any meat. Adjust the spiciness to taste.

Step 5

Step 5
This time we had baked wings. The taste of the sauce is sweet, sour and spicy at the same time as the pleasant juiciness of the vegetables and the sweetness of the mango.
