Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a sandwich with tomato and cheese in the oven? Prepare your food. Any white bread will do, not just loaf. Take a large tomato so that there is enough for all the sandwiches. Or a couple of small ones. Use garlic, salt and pepper to taste; you can do without them.

Step 2

Step 2
Rub the pieces of bread with a cut clove of garlic (if you are a fan of garlic, you can also cut the cloves into slices and place them on the tomato). Spread the bread with a little butter. It will be more convenient to do this if the oil is soft — then the layer will be minimal.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the tomato, dry it and cut into thin slices.

Step 4

Step 4
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 5

Step 5
Place tomato slices on pieces of bread. You can salt and pepper them to taste. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of tomatoes. Alternatively, you can not grate the cheese, but cut it into thin slices and place them.

Step 6

Step 6
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cover a baking sheet or any baking dish with parchment (then you won’t need to wash them). Place sandwiches on paper.

Step 7

Step 7
Bake the hot sandwiches for about 10 minutes until the cheese has melted. Baking times may vary depending on your oven and the type of cheese you use.

Step 8

Step 8
Serve the finished hot sandwiches to the table immediately, before they cool down. You can decorate them with herbs to taste. Bon appetit!
