Step 1

Step 1
How to make marinade for mackerel? Prepare the necessary products. If the fish is frozen, it must first be thawed. It is better to do this gradually, in the refrigerator, so that it does not fall apart when cutting. Clean and gut the mackerel carcass, carefully removing all the insides and black film. Take filtered or bottled water.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour water into a saucepan, add salt, sugar, bay leaf and pepper. Place the pan on the fire and bring the water to a boil. Boil for a couple of minutes, then remove the pan from the heat and leave to cool completely.

Step 3

Step 3
While the brine is cooling, work on the fish. I cut it lengthwise along the spine and removed the core, then cut it into small pieces. Place the fish pieces in a jar.

Step 4

When the brine has completely cooled, add vinegar to it. Marinade for mackerel at home is ready.

Step 5
