Turkey and Vegetable Skillet Stew

Very tasty, very easy, healthy, juicy, perfect for dinner for the family. Stewed turkey with vegetables in a frying pan is so easy to prepare that it’s even surprising. All components for it can be selected from what is at hand. Vegetables and meat are soaked in each other’s juices, it turns out very juicy!

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Onion 0.5 pc
Garlic 2 clove
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Water 200 ml
Zucchini 1 pc
Carrot 1 pc
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
bell pepper 1 pc
Turkey fillet 500 g
Herbal mixture (provencal, 1 teaspoon) g

How to stew turkey with vegetables in a frying pan? Start by preparing the required ingredients according to the list. You can add or replace the ingredients of vegetables according to your taste. Instead of Provençal herbs, you can use Italian ones.

Wash the turkey, dry it and cut into medium pieces. You can use large, small, or thigh meat for turkey fillet, or even replace it with chicken.

Wash and dry all vegetables. Cut the zucchini into quarters. What kind of zucchini works best? Choose young fruits with delicate skin. Wash them and peel them. It is not necessary to cut off very thin skin. If using more mature squash, trim off the rough skin and scoop out the seeded center.

Peel the bell pepper from seeds and cut into strips. You can choose any color of pepper.

Cut half an onion into half rings.

Finely chop the garlic with a knife.

Peel the carrots and cut into semicircles or strips.

Heat half the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan with a thick bottom. Add turkey and stir-fry until golden brown, about 10 minutes. At the end, salt and pepper the meat. Remove the finished meat from the pan.

Place the carrots in the pan and fry in the remaining vegetable oil, stirring, for about 5 minutes.

Add the bell pepper and zucchini and fry everything together for about 3 more minutes.

Return the meat to the pan. Add garlic. Pour in hot water. Salt and pepper everything to taste and mix.

Bring the turkey and vegetables to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer everything together under the lid for about 20 minutes.

10 minutes before cooking, sprinkle the turkey and vegetables with Provençal herbs and stir. If necessary, add salt and pepper to the dish to your liking.
